This is a new five story 32-unit residential structure located in Washington’s Brightwood neighborhood. The design of this Type IIIB structure included a combination of wood framing, deep pile foundations, CMU shafts, and steel framing.
A high-water table required our team to consider a secant pile wall to support the excavation and keep a dry excavation.
